Panasonic NI-S300TR 1200-Watt Steam Iron with Curved Titanium-Coated Soleplate, White/Green

I received two defective units.

The first unit did not produce constant steam and the Thermostat dial was loose and did not rotate properly. Oddly enough the “Burst of Steam” feature worked fantastic.

The second unit I received produced good steam and worked well, but the “Burst of Steam” was non-functional.

Another gripe would be on the retractable cord. I used a different Panasonic Iron in a Hotel a few weeks ago and it retracted perfectly. This cord retract you have to play with it a few times to get it in the Iron.

I will be purchasing a higher quality Iron and suggest you do the same.

PANASONIC: PLEASE WORK ON YOU QUALITY CONTROL.

I was pleasantly pleased with this iron. The retractable cord allows for better storage, and so far has worked very smoothly. I also like the removable water storage container–it allows for easier removal of water when done with ironing. This iron also removes wrinkles better than any other iron I’ve used! It is a little heavier, but I wonder if this extra weight adds to the ability to remove wrinkles better! After the first few times using it, I’m now accustomed to the extra weight.

I was in the market to replace an older rowenta iron that had given us good service.

The specs on this model (DZ5080) appeared to be just the replacement that we needed.

Indeed, we are pleased with our purchase and it was priced reasonably.

After having used it myself, I now agree with the average view of others on the cover issue. I originally thought it would not be too inconvenient since I iron very little. Additionally, the legs are not sturdy enough to stay upright while ironing so it requires more work to rotate to a new section on the clothing and keep moving. I can probably put a small book under it at the one end to hold it but it should just have been designed better. Overall it is sufficient but I’m sure another 10 minutes of research could yield a better product purchase result.

useless iron – never gets hot enough to iron wrinkles out – slightly bigger than other travel irons makes it more inconvenient
